The ENCLOSURE MILLGUARD Model EM/1, EM/3, and EM3/T have been specifically designed to promote efficient and confident machine operation; to enclose dangerous milling cutters and restrict flying swarf and coolant.

Two independent framed assemblies fitted with tough 5mm Polycarbonate visor are mounted on adjustable table rails on either side of the machine table by high tensile 'T' bolts which are supplied. Each guard hinges on a pivot bracket and features the same unique cantilever system employed on the cantilever millguard.

An integral locking mechanism holds the guard in the closed operational mode, a quick release plunger pin allows each section to swing and hinge aside to give immediate and open access to the entire work area. All vision panels incorporate angled return leading edges that restrict flying swarf and coolant to the bed area of the machine.

Model EM3/T is designed for Turret Milling Machines and has the additional feature of a rise and fall right hand side window to give clearance on pendant type control panels, the front panel also has a sliding window to enable manual operation ofthe turret-head lever.

Rear Guards suitable for Model EMG that provide total enclosure protection are available.

Special length guards can be manufactured, price on application.

A recent addition to the CLEERVUE product range is the SSP UNIVERSAL MILLING MACHINE GUARD. This enclosure type table guard has twin sliding 5mm polycarbonate windows fitted with electrical interlocks as standard.

The adjustable side panel assemblies are designed to hinge-aside to allow components to utilise the full length of the machine table, this feature can only be found on this guard, additionally the right hand side panel is adjustable on height to accommodate CNC consuls.

The guard is manufactured in one size to accommodate table sizes 1460 -1100mm.

Electrical interlocks are fitted as standard.

The MAX-A-JUST is made up of two half assemblies, each of a composite construction of nylon coated steel members carrying polycarbonate extension visors that can be
adjusted in both vertical and horizontal plane, to clear protruding vices of jigs and fixtures.

The two half assemblies are mounted in opposition to form either a complete three-sided box or an extended line across the front of the machine table. When positioned, the release of the special locking devices enables the two half assembles to be opened to give rapid access to the workpiece or cutter. An additional feature on Model M2 is a spring-loaded plunger pin that securely locks the guard in its closed position. When released the guard can be hinged aside allowing instant access to the machine table.

The MAX-A-JUST is made in two sizes and is supplied with "Tee slot" nuts for easy and rapid table attachment to any vertical milling machine.

The OPTIGUARD range of Magnetic Safety Shields are vital aids to production and although developed for centre lathes, on which frequent set-ups are the rule, any of the series can be used on all other machines. The powerful magnetic base of each model holds it fast to any ferrous surface, yet is instantly removable. Tough polycarbonate screens give safe vision without exposing an operator to the dangers of coolant splash.

Models 01 and 05 have a flat screen with top curvature and are attached to an on/off magnet by a flexible stem which enables the screen to be rapidly positioned at any angle.

Models 00-1 and 03 have the same type of screen and are attached to a powerful on/off magnet by a rigid arm with precision ball and socket mounting assembly enabling the screen to be positively adjusted and locked in any position.
