Model BT is made from injection moulded high impact polycarbonate which offers clear and safe vision through body and visor. In the operating position the guard is securely locked in the closed position by a spring-loaded plunger pin assembly, when released the guard hinges up allowing instant access for drill and chuck change. All Cleervue drillguards comply fully with BS EN 292, "Safety of Machinery" Adjustable Guards.

The strong construction allows adjustment on length and access for fast drill and chuck change. MODEL LRTS and LRTL are for light Radial and Column Drilling Machines and can be fitted by the use of Top castings 2, 4 and 5, modified for side pivoting. On certain machines like the 38" Archdale Radial, control Wheels and transverse shafts may prevent this form of fitting, in which case a flanged extension tube must first be fitted to the machine head, this enables the guard to be mounted to the tube below the level of the obstruction. Constructed from three independent aluminium extrusions with chip-breaking edges, the guard has twin scratch resistant, clear polycarbonate screens in both the middle and bottom sections. The versatility of the guard can be further enhanced by the instant removal of the bottom visor to suit those shorter length drills without any loss of vision; conversely the visor can be easily replaced to give an overall extended length of 265mm.

The outstanding feature of Model MT/RB is that it is fitted as standard with a clip type top fitting pre-bored to 88mm x 50mm. The customer turns the internal diameter to the non- rotating collar size required, splits the bush and clamps both bush and guard to the drilling machine.
